Strictly Business

We are currently in the process of transitioning from college students to young professionals. As fashion majors, we always like to have our own take on fashion and incorporate our own unique style into what we wear. We wanted to show you how you don't have to look like a typical boring guy working a 9-5 in a cubicle, but rather a stylish young professional ready to take on the world.

Aspirations of being the boss just isn't enough, you must look like the boss as well. I'm wearing a tan blazer that is very versatile, it can be worn with practically any colored bottom. The nude colored G.H. Bass shoes give the outfit a fun, young, yet professional look.

I decided to go for a 1930's look, but with a contemporary spin. I decided to pair my black boots with a tailored fitting pant and a black blazer. I finished the look with a gray fedora.

I took the blazer off for a more relaxed look. 

For this look, I wanted to show my individuality by taking a black suit and adding a colorful bow tie and bright red shirt to it so that I could create a look that's fun enough to relate to, but professional enough to take seriously. I finished the look off with some polished black Steve Madden loafers.

I wanted to add a rugged look to my outfit so I added my desert Steve Madden boots to a look that was otherwise formal.

One of the keys to looking like you're ready for business isn't just in the outfit, but the grooming as well. Our barber Danny, at North Texas Cutz, helps us maintain that fresh ready-to-take-on-the-world look. 

Three accessories that I MUST carry at all times with me to give off that professional, yet, fashion-forward look: Bow tie, brief case and a tailored fit blazer.

Making the Cut

With the temperature warming up and nothing better to do, we decided to cut our jeans to turn them into some shorts of the season. It seems everywhere you look this season you can find cut off jeans and tank tops for a beach/weekend look. (click to enlarge)

The Look That Always Stays and Never Fades

The prep look is a look that will always hold a strong stylish undertone in the fashion world. Whether you look like you're about to go golf, play tennis or sip champagne at a country club, the look defines sophistication and class. You don't have to be a prep to give off the prep look- it's all in the clothes and how you carry yourself.

You're Access Has Been Granted: End of the Year Banquet

Last night we had the honor of attending the Merchandising Inc End of the Year Banquet. We had a special guest, Steve Woodward, VP of Product Development at Fossil, come out and share some wonderful advice on the constant changing trends in the fashion industry. In addition to our special guest, many were awarded officer positions, two of which were awarded to us- Fashion Show Producers- for the upcoming school year. We spent a wonderful night enjoying each other's company and reminiscing on the wonderful school year that we've had.
