Creating 5 Looks From 1 Outfit

We chose to show how you can take one outfit and create several other looks from it. We took one basic top and one basic bottom and used those to create 4 different looks- a look for every occasion.  This goes to show you that you can wear one outfit in several ways giving off different impressions. We came up with the following looks:

Basics

Kevin
Prep Look

Nautical Look

Kickin' It Look

School Boy Look

Ondré
Biker Look

Western Look

City Look

School Boy

And THAT my friends is how you mix and match!

  5. Love this post! I am in love with the Nautical look and that Biker look is HOT!! I have never seen a bow tie worn with a polo styled shirt (I've only seen with a collared shirt) so that is pretty different. Y'all are too fly! Kiah

  12. Hating? I gave a pretty precise critique explaining the conflicts apparent in most of those outfits.

Maybe in the fun pretend persona's you are trying to create for yourselves in what ever environment is allowing you to get away with these shenanigans in public this looks good. But in the real sartorial world you would be laughed at on the streets here in New York City.

You want more information you can see the way I dress on my forum here:

If you want to learn how to dress get some real constructive criticism on how to improve your style by posting your outfits in My "What Are You Wearing Today" thread. It looks like one of our members already posted you guys in our "worst Streetstyle" thread. Made for quite a good laugh! you could read it here:

  13. We want to start off by thanking everyone who is showing our blog love and all of your support.

Now on to anonymous. Thanks for your input. We understand that there are going to be fashion leaders and laggers. We don't regurgitate the styles we think mainstream society would like to view us in, we put our own twist to what we wear-that makes us fashion leaders and you seem to be imitating what you see (and from the looks of it, you're doing a poor job at it)-making you a fashion lagger. We checked out the way you dress...and let's just say i'll think about hiring u at my little sister's birthday party if Bobo the clown doesn't show up!

Thanks for all of the publicity, seems like we're getting more attention than you on your own blog. When you see two young men trying to do something positive in fashion and the first thing you want to do is take them down..u have a problem.

Thanks for showing us what you look and dress like. We needed a good laugh today.

  17. ATTENTION FOR ANONYMOUS!! YOU ARE A FRAUD!

you don't live in NYC one. and two how dare you use the sartorial in your sentence your not even worthy enough to use that word. I myself was born and raised in the east coast. I go to New York City very frequently to visit family and I know for a fact that no one who is a lover of fashion will ever disrespect someone else for what they are wearing. If you really lived in NYC you wouldn't be posting these. People in NYC appreciate all things fashion even if it's missed matched clothing and someone is wearing a polka dot shirt with lime green stripped pants. IT'S STILL APPRECIATED. Why do think The Satorialist has become so popular, because he appreciates all things fashion and doesn't poke fun. :)
